I used to live opposite there and a letter addressed to me at “The house opposite the phone box, Horderns Road, Chapel-en-le-Frith” was safely delivered. Lloyd Cole of Lloyd Cole and the Commotions used to live in the house next to the box “West Horderns”. Before we had our house phone I used to go out at 6pm every Saturday to talk to my boyfriend there. Happy days!
